Because Every Child Deserves to Read

The George Archer Memorial Foundation for Literacy supports programs for people afflicted with learning disabilities that interfere with their ability to process written communications. The Archer Foundations goal is to build partnerships between educators, community, and families creating neighborhood networks that surround children with literacy opportunities and specialized assistance. We believe this grows the early habits of reading that are vital to ensure a students future success in school and beyond.

The Foundation

Who we Are

The George Archer Memorial Foundation for Literacy is championed by 10 board members and countless volunteers and supporters who are beyond driven to help promote literacy.

What we do

We have combined our love of golf and commitment to early childhood and adult literacy education in creating the Stroke of Genius Pro-Am Golf Tournament that has been raising money for the past 14 years.

Who we help

Every year, we help between 5-10 literacy education programs that may ultimately benefit thousands of individuals.

The Archer Foundation was developed to provide additional and specialized help for children who struggle as they attempt to learn to be proficient in literacy. Our goal is to help as many children as possible so that they might experience the wonder, the magic, the mystery, of reading. Everyone should be able to learn to read, and we shall hopefully help them to do so.
